16 April 2026: BIG W is dropping the shelf price of more than 2,000 products across the store as part of its ongoing commitment to support customers to continue to manage cost of living pressures.
From today (16 April), shelf prices on products spanning skincare, beauty, decor, kitchenware, gaming, toys and technology will drop by an average of 13.5%.
BIG W Chief Commercial Officer, Christine Faulkner said: “Our customers are telling us they’re worried about the impact the rising cost of living is having on their household budgets, so we wanted to make a tangible difference every time they shop with us.
“Customers can now save on thousands of products across the store - from household staples like tissues and toothpaste, through to Barbie dolls and air fryers.
“For decades we’ve been known for our incredible value, whether it’s our affordable clothing offering or best price books. By dropping shelf prices, we’re expanding our commitment to the great value customers already find online and across our stores.”
BIG W’s beauty and personal care section is a key focus of the Price Drops and has been given a makeover to help make self-care more affordable. Prices have dropped by an average of 14% across over 1,600 products in this category including:
Skin Control Glass Skin Facemask: was $13, now $10.99 (15%/$2.01 saving)
MCo Fragrance Mist No.3 Dragonfruit & Jasmine 90ml: was $20, now $16.99 (15%/$3.99 saving)
L'Oréal Paris Infallible 3-Second Setting Mist 75ml: was $30, now $25.99 (13%/$4.01 saving)

Dettol 2 in 1 Sanitizer Spray 90ml: was $5, now $7 (29%/$2 saving)
To help shoppers keep their homes fresh for a new season without breaking the bank, BIG W has also slashed prices on select decor pieces from its new and on-trend Autumn/Winter range — like the Lyla Bubble Vase, which is now $12, down from $15.
Essential kitchen appliances are also now more affordable, including the Contempo Digital Dual Airfryer 8L which has dropped to $79 from $119, saving customers $40 or 34%.
The Price Drop extends to kids big and small, covering toys from big brands like Nintendo, Barbie and BIG W’s own Somersault range. The Somersault Baby Doll Gift Set is down to $39, representing a $10 saving.
Even greater savings will be available for shoppers if promotions are applied to these new shelf prices. Customers can also save more by scanning their Everyday Rewards card at the check-out and boosting BIG W offers available prior to shopping.
New tags highlight the new lower shelf price compared to the previous amount to help customers see their savings at the shelf. Additionally, new ‘Price Drop’ tickets will also help shoppers identify what items are available at a new lower price.
