Wednesday, 1 October 2025: The annual Small Change Appeal is officially back at Woolworths, aiming to raise vital funds for children’s charities right across Australia.

For the first three weeks of October, customers can be a part of the Appeal by purchasing a $2 token or making a donation at any checkout. Every single dollar raised will directly fund essential services and care provided by our State Children’s Charity partners, supporting local kids and their families when they need it most.

Woolworths Community Programs Manager, Loretta Arrastia, said:"We are so incredibly proud to partner with these fantastic charities again. Seeing the generosity of our customers is truly amazing—it proves that even a small donation can make a massive difference right here in our local communities."

The generosity of customers through the Small Change Appeal translates into real, life-changing support on the ground. All of the funds donated during the Small Change Appeal from 1 October to 21 October in Woolworths stores across Australia will go to:

  • Variety, the Children’s Charity (NSW, ACT, SA and NT stores): Funds will help Variety bolster their grants programs for children who are living with a disability, chronic illness or financial hardship. For Variety NSW, donated funds have allowed them to deliver transformative grants, programs and events for children who are sick, living with a disability, or experiencing disadvantage. Recently, two-year-old Huda was able to receive her own sitting stroller after receiving a Mobility Equipment Grant from Variety.

  • The Children’s Hospital Foundation (QLD & Northern NSW): Every dollar raised will help fund life-changing research, cutting-edge equipment and in-hospital wrap-around programs and entertainment that bring joy, distraction and comfort to kids in hospital.

  • Good Friday Appeal (VIC): Donations will provide care and support to patients and their families at The Royal Children’s Hospital, including ongoing support for the Garden Therapy Program.

  • Telethon (WA): For more than a decade, donations have helped fund Telethon’s essential programs for children with unique needs, supporting more equipment for children in hospitals, critical services for children with disabilities and life-changing opportunities for disadvantaged children.

  • St Giles (TAS): Offering funds for equipment that will be used in early education and intervention activities to support local children.
