Over 800,000 Everyday Rewards members have banked their points for Christmas, with $100 saved on average, per member

Wednesday 12 November 2025: Savvy shoppers are gearing up for Black Friday sales and a more affordable holiday season with Everyday Rewards unlocking members’ Bank for Christmas points from tomorrow (Thursday, 13 November).

Everyday Rewards members with more than $100 will need to manually unlock their rewards, while those with less than $100 will have their Everyday Rewards dollars unlocked automatically.

This year, more than 800,000 Everyday Rewards members have chosen to bank their points to spend over Christmas, with $100 saved on average per member.

In 2024, around 26 percent of all banked funds were redeemed during the week before Christmas, with members averaging between $70-$80 in redemptions to put toward their festive celebrations.

This year, the most popular redemption week is projected to be the week of Christmas, starting 22 December 2025.

Everyday Rewards member, mum of two and online creator of Fat Mum Slim, Chantelle Ellem, opted in early and has already banked $470 which she is planning to spend at BIG W on Christmas presents for her children.

The savvy shopper from Queensland spends around $1,000 on gifts every year but is expecting that her Bank for Christmas dollars will cover more than half of her Christmas presents this year.

“I spend around $300 on groceries every week and I check the Everyday Rewards app weekly to boost offers because those additional points really add up.

“When I found out I could change my options on how to redeem my points a few years ago, I made the shift to see how much I could save at the end of each year. I’m thrilled with my $470 savings, but I’m not done yet. I’m hoping to get to $500 in the next couple of weeks!” concluded Chantelle.

Last year, Everyday Rewards members redeemed their points on a variety of popular items, including:

Woolworths:

  • Fresh Strawberries (250g): 242,000 punnets
  • Woolworths Leg Ham: 194,000 hams
  • Hass Avocado: 174,000
  • Cavendish Banana XL: 152,000 bananas
  • Woolworths Thickened Cream (600ml): 136,000 bottles

BIG W:

  • Cadbury Christmas Stocking (180g): 8,000 stockings
  • Hot Wheels Basic Diecast – Assorted: 8,000 cards
  • Christmas Chocolate Coin Bag Assorted: 5,000 bags
  • Trolli Stocking (76g): 3,000 stockings
  • Cadbury Favourites (520g): 3,000 boxes

Families and retirees are leading the Bank for Christmas initiative, each comprising 40 percent of those banking for the festive season, along with 20 percent of young singles and couples.

Glenn Baker, Director at Everyday Rewards said: “Bank for Christmas is about providing Everyday Rewards members with a bit of extra breathing room at one of the busiest – and often most expensive – times of the year.

“Black Friday sales are just about to kick off, so it’s a great time to really take advantage of great value. Whether it be brand new camping gear for a holiday with family or friends from BIG W, or, a decadent Christmas feast from Woolies, Bank for Christmas can really help the hip pocket as we approach the end of the year.”

Members can unlock their Bank for Christmas savings simply by opening or downloading the Everyday Rewards app, tapping the stocking icon and following the prompts. Rewards can be enjoyed at Woolworths, Big W and other partners from Thursday 13 November until 31 December 2025. After 31 December the points get locked again until next Christmas.

To Bank for Christmas, members simply need to open the Everyday Rewards app or log in to their account online and select the Rewards Choice ‘Bank for Christmas’.
