Tuesday, 12 September 2017:  Woolworths is making life easier for customers across the Country, with Pick Up now available from stores nationwide.
 
Pick Up, previously known as Click & Collect, provides a convenient collection service for Woolworths customers. Woolworths is the first and only supermarket to provide such a service nationally with over 670 stores added as collection points in the last month alone, and more than 4,500 personal shoppers picking and packing customer groceries in stores.
 
With Pick Up customers can look forward to the following key features:
  • Pick Up is free with orders over $30
  • The service is available nationwide 7 days a week
  • Customers can select the time when their order is ready to Pick Up (order by 11 am for same day collection after 4 pm or by 11 pm for next day collection after 11 am)
  • Customers are free to choose Pick Up from more than 970 Woolworths locations
  • Flexible Pick Up options include Drive Up, Drive Thru, and remote lockers and specific parking bays where groceries are delivered to the car - all at select locations
Woolworths Head of Online Operations, Lisia Roth said; “We’re always looking for new and innovative ways to make shopping easier for our customers. 
 
“With the addition in just one month of over 670 stores as online shopping collection points, we are now providing additional convenience for customers in all corners of the Country. From remote regional towns with only one Woolworths supermarket to major metro areas where customers have multiple Pick Up location choices, customers will be able to get more time back in their day as we do their shopping for them.”
 
As part of the national roll-out, a dedicated team of personal shoppers in store will hand pick and pack each online order according to our customers’ preference - selecting groceries just the way customers like it.
 
By downloading the Woolworths app, customers can also keep track of their order. This service will notify store teams when customers are approaching the store, reducing the time needed to pick up the order.
 
Lisia Roth added; “Not only do customers want ultra-convenience and personalisation, they also want the experience to be painless and seamless. The Woolworths app will send you a notification when your order is ready, and you can alert us when you're close by, so that we can have everything ready for your arrival.
 
“What this means is that customers, for example, can do their grocery shopping online on their way to work and it will be ready to be picked up by the time they are on their way home. 
 
“Similarly, a busy parent doing the after-school grocery run can instead order their favourite items online - quickly and easily - and pick them up whenever they want. This can help save close to 20 mins to half an hour off your day, giving you more time with friends and family. 
 
“Currently each store has a set number of Pick Up orders available for customers per day. As more and more customers start using the service we will monitor the performance, available collection windows and capacity, and customer feedback to ensure Pick Up is the best possible experience for every user."
