Sharing within Woolworths Group


We share your personal information between Woolworths Group brands that you interact with (including Everyday Rewards, BIG W, Everyday Mobile and Everyday Insurance). This helps us understand how you use our products and services, so we can provide you with more relevant and personalised offers and experiences. 

We also share information with other Woolworths Group companies. For example, we share aggregated information (like a group of customers’ shopping history) with our media business Cartology. They use this to show you relevant ads from Woolworths and other brands, both in our stores and online (like on YouTube). We share information about products and sales with our data analytics company, Quantium, to help us understand things like how well certain products and offers are going for different groups of customers.

Sharing your information when you shop online


When you shop online with us, we may share your personal information at various stages to ensure your order is successfully delivered or available for pick up. This includes:

We sometimes share your personal information with trusted companies outside the Woolworths Group to help us run our business. When we do this, we always aim to share as little of your personal information as possible.

  • Our Everyday Rewards Partners (like Qantas) so they can give you points and benefits when you choose to convert your Everyday Rewards points to their program

  • Delivery companies to deliver your order

  • Financial organisations to help us check payments and prevent fraud (scams or theft)

  • Expert data companies to understand shopping trends 

  • Websites, apps or social media that display advertising to you (Everyday Rewards members can manage targeted advertising preferences in your Everyday Rewards account)

  • Companies that provide our in-store technology (like Scan Assist) to make the technology better at recognising items for a faster checkout
  • Police or other retailers to assist with investigations related to safety and retail crime
  • Other companies you ask us to when you provide us with a written request
