Tuesday, 2 December 2014: Masters and its customers have raised more than $10,000 for beyondblue through sausage sizzles held at its 49 stores across the country in support of World Mental Health Day.
On Thursday, 4 December 2014 Masters Victoria Area Manager, Samantha Payne will be joined by employees of Masters Hawthorn East to present a cheque for $10,882 to beyondblue CEO, Georgie Harman.
Samantha Payne said, “We are proud to make a donation of more than $10,000 to beyondblue to assist them with their goals to reduce the impact of depression and anxiety in the Australian community.
“Being an active and supportive member of the community is important to everyone at Masters. Anxiety and depression can affect anyone at any time and I am proud that Masters have been able to help raise much needed funds and raise awareness for such a great cause,” she said.
Georgie Harman said, “I never cease to be amazed by the generosity of individuals and businesses when it comes to supporting beyondblue. The fact that this money was raised on World Mental Health day is significant and we shouldn’t forget that every day, seven people die by suicide in Australia.
“I extend a huge thank you to all the staff at Masters stores around Australia and to everyone who bought a sausage at Masters’ sausage sizzles on World Mental Health Day. This donation will go a long way to assist the many Australians with anxiety and depression, and their families.”
