Peter Atkin was appointed Chief Legal Officer of Woolworths Group in February 2026. In this role, Peter is responsible for leading the Group’s legal, governance, and risk functions, while supporting the Group’s strategic growth, transformation, and strategic ambition.
Peter originally joined Woolworths in 2016 as Group General Counsel of Endeavour Drinks (then a division of Woolworths Group) and played a pivotal role in Endeavour’s transition to a standalone ASX-listed entity following its demerger from Woolworths Group in 2021.
Peter has 10+ years experience working with large listed retail organisations in Australia. In addition, Peter’s experience spans a wide range of industries including retail, liquor, gaming, tax and resources, with a very broad scope of legal areas.
Prior to joining the Group, Peter held senior legal positions in private practice, including at Ashurst and other private practice firms.
