Caroline Israel was appointed Chief Transformation & Strategy Officer in July 2026, leading the Group’s strategy, transformation, customer AI, strategic partnerships and innovation portfolios.
Prior to joining Woolworths Group, Caroline spent two decades at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she co-led BCG’s global Grocery, Food and Mass Retail segment. In this time, she advised leading consumer and retail companies across Australia, Asia, Europe, and the US on strategy, large-scale transformations, AI and advanced analytics, and organisational design.
Caroline holds a Master in Public Policy (MPP) from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Melbourne. She is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders.
