Behind every pack of beef in our stores is a farmer's dedication to their land and their livestock. David Brown has been raising cattle at West Talgai in Southern Queensland for over three decades — for 34 of those years, partnering with Woolworths

"Customers expect consistency and quality every single time, and that is not possible without partnering with the right people. We need farmers who are as dedicated as we are to producing the fantastic quality product that goes into our steaks,” says Leigh Gallen, our Category Manager for Beef. That focus on quality runs right through the supply chain. At Hilton Foods in Heathwood, where David's cattle are processed, the team maintains strict cold chain protocols - including an air bridge that moves packaged meat directly into our distribution centres. It's about speed and freshness.
At the Woolworths Indooroopilly store, Store Manager Ashley Still and the team handle every pack with that same care - maintaining the cold chain right through to the shelf, so customers get the quality and freshness David started with back in West Talgai.
