Tuesday, 6 October 2015: Residents of Cranbourne East will see the launch of one of Australia’s most modern supermarkets when Woolworths opens the doors of its new store on the corner of Linsell Boulevard and Narree Warren Road next week.
The new $5 million development will officially open at 8.00am on Wednesday, 14 October providing customers with fresh Australian fruit & vegetables, inspiring meal ideas, a wide choice of healthy options and a huge range of grocery items at great prices.
Woolworths Cranbourne East Store Manager, Joey Zahra, said 95 people would be employed at the store creating employment opportunities for the local area.
“We are delighted that the opening of the new Woolworths sees us welcoming so many new people to the company from the Cranbourne East area.
“Our aim is to connect customers directly with our local fresh producers as much as possible. With 100 per cent of fresh meat and 96 per cent of fresh fruit and veg sourced from Australia, our store will highlight the wonderful seasonality of produce along with tips for the best uses for products,” Joey said.
The new store will include a bakery providing fresh bread daily, seafood behind the counter, and a delicatessen.
The store will also include a focus on wellness with the Woolworths Macro range that includes free range, ‘free from’ and organic choices.
Twenty-one checkouts will be available for customers including traditional, express and self serve checkouts.
Woolworths Cranbourne East is celebrating the new store launch with donations to the local community including a cheque presentation to Cranbourne Dolphin Girl Guides and Cranbourne East Secondary School. Customers are welcome to join in all the opening day festivities.
The store will be open 7am to 10pm Monday to Sunday.
