As part of our Easter celebrations in April 2017, Woolworths, together with the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, took the younger generation on a paddock to plate adventure. Children visiting the Sydney Royal Easter Show were able to experience life as a little farmer in an entertaining and educational way through our “Little Hands on the Land” exhibit.
Thousands of children visited the exhibit over 14 days, harvesting produce, exchanging it at the markets for kids-dollars and then using that currency to purchase a healthy snack from the on-site Woolworths Supermarket. All the while learning facts about how the produce is grown and farmed.
The interactive Little Hands on the Land exhibit was a fun and engaging way to educate future shoppers on agriculture, and the process and effort that it takes to cultivate quality fresh food.
